I literally just ordered one with M3, 8/10 cpu and 16gb unified memory and 1tb storage. Should I get this instead? I'm so torn. The price is exactly the same.
Since the price is equal, this hands down. Storage is literally the only upgradable (external expansion) component so it's very far down on the list of priorities.

I think 14" mbp is the sweet spot. Have a 14 in for home (mostly sorting pics and web) and 16 in for work (for ppt/excel). Both are great but the 16 in one is just way too heavy to carry around.

Most of my colleagues at the ..uh.. fruit company opt for the Pro, but the 15 inch Air does everything i want* - plus is way lighter than the 16inch Pro when moving around at work.

* not going to lie, I miss having ports on the right side. Almost was a deal breaker until I shifted my laptop stand to the other side lol

The only downgrade is the storage, everything else is an upgrade - M3 vs M3 Pro, more cores. I think this is a better deal but the storage trips me up.

For a $100 more, you get the 1TB storage, but lose the black color.

Or, if you're okay with some slow storage, then get a BaseQi micro SD card adapter that does not stick out + a 512GB/1TB/1.5TB micro SD card.

Most importantly it's a different cpu. Standard m3 vs pro

Hmmm… tempting. Is this a "4th of July" sale? Would Prime Day be better?
Feel like it's been this price on Amazon for the last few weeks at least

The silver sold out for $1699 on Amazon last week, I think the black stayed available. Lots of places have had it on and off this price for the past month.

M3 has more battery life than M3 pro as well.
