1. Select M12 3/8 inch stubby and free battery and add to cart
2. Select in store pick up and set 2 items to pick up at different store.
3. Pick up your M12 3/8 inch stubby but do not pick up the battery, wait for 1 week until battery is automatically canceled, or talk to customer service to have just the battery returned.

I bet it'll be a while until they're on sale. Milwaukee usually waits a while to bring on the discounts. I feel like even this might be a mistake by FAO, as pre-order items are never on sale.

Yep. With that 4th gen BEAST incoming, this one's basically dead unless it's clearanced below $100. It's still useful, but it can/does struggle with 80-100 ft-lb lug nuts. The new one should have no such issue.
