It should be illegal to make pepper grinders with plastic grinders. They wear down too fast and end up adding to the landfill.

Good: peppermate will replace it for free if breaks, replaced mine twice with no receipt. Bad: the two halves begin to separate over time and the cup gets more and more loose. On my third one now.

I didn't trust the explaination video - the woman is "cooking" with the stove off. What else is she lying about?! She also said this was her favorite kitchen gadget, but the stove wasn't on! /s

In all seriousness though, this thing looks like it's going to break quickly. I bought a built-in pepper mill which was included on my costco pepper, and i've been refilling that. It's been working well enough and I don't think this will add any benefit. This pepper mill also has a built-in measuring cup that I'll never use because I'll never grind that much pepper to fill it. If I ever need to use a measuring cup, I'm getting an electric grinder.

You make it sound like Amazon are not the enablers.

Ultimately, people need to know the value of things. To me, this thing is clearly not worth more than $20, so this isn't actually a hot deal.

I've picked up decent steel and wood pepper mills with ceramic grinders for around $20. Laughing that this plastic toy would MSRP at $40.
