Never used this particular board, but I remember they also tested the dulling knives thing on end grain vs edge grain and said it didn't make a difference.

1. This is the lowest it's been price-wise, end-grain boards this size will be 3-4x this price
2. This is was an America's Test Kitchen winner for cutting boards

Teak cutting boards might dull knives cause apparently it has silica in it. I'm going to opt to spend the extra for a maple or walnut.

Also just fyi, this is edge-grain not end-grain (the better one).

Just bought same brand, smaller with juice groove. Disappointed - after first two uses, there are numerous splinters coming off the wood.

Debating whether to sand it and apply mineral oil or just take it back. A cutting board shouldn't do that out of the box in my opinion- it wasn't sealed properly.

Do you use the same cutting board for cutting meat and fruits/veggies?

Maybe a real crappy restaurant, sure. I have worked in many, and we always had different color cutting boards for different things. Even chicken and beef don't use same colors. You would be fired for using the veg boards to cut meat.

Any insight into how much more this might dull a knife? Like 20% faster or with one slice? I don't mind sharpening my knives but not if I have to do it weekly.

Me too. I still think $55 for a cutting board is really pricey. But convinced by comments and reviews. Bought for 7/9 delivery
