Just my 2 cents but there is such a thing as too big, I have the 6 quart but only cook for a few people so the extra volume actually makes smaller recipes a bit tougher. Something to keep in mind as bigger isn't always better for everyone

The nylon gears are a feature! Stop with this demand for metal. When too much is demanded of something like a mixer, something has to give up the ghost. If you torque stall the motor and burn it out, or bend a shaft, or break an internal mount, or whatever... Thats a lot more expensive than the easily replaceable nylon gears. The gears are absolutely a selling point. They're super easy and cheap to replace. If you strip them you've either used the blender a LOT or you've stressed the mixer. It is like being angry about fuses being in your electrical circuits. "This circuit would be able to handle more capacity if I just jammed some pennies in here instead of a fuse".

Properly engineered, plastic gears are ABSOLUTELY a feature.

I picked one up from Best Buy. I signed up for a credit card because it said you get 10% back in rewards on your first purchase but after checkout I only got $10 in rewards. Anyone know why I didn't get 10%... Is it because it was on sale?

Costco one is not tilt head, if anyone is concerned. Personally, I don't like it, much difficult to use.

Credit card extra rewards arnt instant. They'll show up a couple of weeks later

Thanks for posting this deal! I've been waiting for a deal on one of these to show up. My parents still have one of these 5-qt tilt-head going strong after 20 years so hopefully these newer models hold up just the same.
