Why would you buy a HP pc case, when building a custom pc?

HP isn't a look that people are going for... Or did I lose my cool-kid card?

Agree. That said, it's a decent case and doesn't say HP anywhere noticeable.

I watched a YouTube video where they reviewed this case and it did fairly well, especially concerning airflow.

So it's like having a case that says "Antec" except this says ""Omen" with no HP logo or anything. The only thing is that if you build custom PC's for people, the average dumb consumer is gonna think the brand of their PC is "Omen"

I've seen plenty of pre-built HP Omen gaming PC's at the Best Buy stores. I've always though their cases look and feel very premium.

The whole gimmick with this case is that it has an isolated chamber to install an AIO CPU Liquid Cooler and seems to be a fairly well built case all things considered. This thing might actually be a case to consider at this price point as it actually seems to work

Unless people really like this case then go for it. Here is some issue I could see from building with this case.
- there is no USB C on the front IO
- there is no support of AIO brand or size
There is so much better budget case on the market as alternative.

Good way to ensure no one steals your custom build.

I guess staff will post anything. This is a cruel joke imo. The fact that this has any thumbs up worries me about people greatly. If you choose this for 70$ over other much better cases for the same price or less SMH...

10 years ago I'd maybe share your surprise... But even the mainstream pc manufacturers really stepped up their game with the niche high end prebuilts shown off in stores, and adopted tons of features that used to be limited to custom builds (cable management, glass windows, spots for water cooling, etc)

But hard disagree with your comment on the brand part. Nobody buys a case (or avoids one) for the brand logo, and it's completely normal for companies to branch out to new products. Plenty of other pc makers also sell individual cases, like corsair and Asus.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is product quality and value. And this thing seems decent (not amazing, but not bad like some comments seem to think) for the cost.

I didn't say anything about quality or anything.

It just seems weird to build a custom PC and purposely buy an HP case to put it in... Jillions of other cases that are better looking and don't scream "Walmart/BestBuy Pre-built"...

TBF I used to build sleeper LAN rigs in old dell dimension cases for people back in the CS1.5 days.

This is a great case. After ordering a 45L last Xmas for my son, I turned around and bought this case to build in. Great choice and looks awesome.
