I own the Q990D, and while it's amazing, it's main feature is 120 Hz. The sound quality is basically identical.

I couldn't understund how this EPP/EDU deals are able to get such popular. Really we have here so many Samsung employee and students?

#1 Just having an edu email doesn't work anymore, they want a transcript or student id imaged in now.
#2 EPP not working for me for some reason. Samsung says the company is available, but when I go into ID.me it will not pull up any companies in the search bar...

For the cable from source to tv, you need something hdmi2.1(an amazon basic cable cost around 10) but for 990c soundbar, anything works because it only supports hdmi 2.0(and I believe it comes with one)

Do you have the 990 or the 900? If it is the 990, the rears are not sold separately!
For the 900, look for the 9500S rears (open box at 70 from BB).

Edit: another SD'r bought a used 990 without the rears and successfully paired the 9500S rears to it.
