FWIW, I own this item, and it's *very* heavy duty and easily up to the rigors of a construction site. No DIY user will be able to break it without extreme effort and/or negligence.

These are interesting, but I'm struggling to imagine what I'd use them for PERSONALLY that regular saw horses + regular face clamps wouldn't work on, especially if they can't clamp a full sheet.
And to be fair, I already own a pair of rockwell jawstands, which have been *immensely* useful, but capable of fairly different functionality. If I didn't have those, maybe these would have more appeal for me.

Like using this to clamp a wood mast for a tarp tend to somehow "secure" tools under at a job site? How exactly is using $200 of tools as a tarp tent frame more "secure" than just throwing a tarp over the tools, or the 5min to tack together a couple scrap 2x4s instead?
For home shop, I can't imagine these heavy beasts being more convenient to scuttle around the shop and set up every time, than having a normal permanent workbench.

I was thinking on picking one up to help as a 'third hand' during fencing. I guess any outdoors project like this could have a pretty good use case, 4x4's, 6x6's, long 2x12 fascia boards perhaps? Objects that might be awkward to carry to begin with, where the ability to step down to clamp an object would help during a repetitive workflow. Can't really complain for 80$ to be fair, looks like it'll last a long while and survive a construction environment.
