I have the full frame mt bike version of these with the same battery/motor I got from Sams a couple years ago on clearance ($250). If all you're doing is cruising a bike path or suburbia, it should be mostly fine. If you have any decent sized hills, you're going to provide the power vs the motor. 250w is not adequate for hilly terrain. Also, the gears may need some adjusting as I found mine constantly falling back in between some. Current price of $1100 is insane, sale price of $500 should be regular price. I don't feel bad for getting it at $250, but at $500, I'd pay up a bit and get a nicer model/bigger motor.

For me "Basically" every AMP equates to miles so basically this bike has a very small range
