I replaced 3 15k BTU units on a class A RV with 2 of this ynits, I will never going back to RV AC if possible, a world of difference and they move air like the other ones didn't. I can sleep with AC and have work meetings with no one thinking that I'm inside an air tunnel. Will see how long they last but so far they put up with Florida humidity and how hot it is just fine (and an RV Class A has plenty of loses)

So much misinformation.

R-410 began to be phased out in 2023 for new equipment, and will not be allowed for new equipment starting in 2025. No word on when it will no longer be available for currently installed equipment, and I'm not going to speculate.

R-32 & R-454B are the replacements for R-410.

I won't buy one that doesn't specify the installation line length or if they do, make it hard to find. Someone said 13ft which is very short! All I saw on the link page was " 2 x copper connection pipes".
13 foot is specified there where it says 13 foot copper connection pipe, that implies the lineset .Not clearest terminology ...

My friend that's an hvac worker put pioneer in his house vs Mitsubishi. And Mitsubishi I believe is top of the line. He said it was a lot cheaper for close to same quality

NOT TO WORRY
This unit uses R-410a refrigerant, which *will* be phased out in a year or three.
However, there ARE replacements for R-410a: Forane® R-32 and R-454B.

"Forane® R-32 can be used in new equipment designed specifically for mildly flammable refrigerants as a replacement for R-410A equipment. Its low density allows for the use of a smaller refrigerant charge."

i'm sure the replacements charge will cost way more than just buying a new unit ..
inflation of refrigerant going thru roof due to the feds as well.

anyways at this price i treat em like window unit, install em , get the rebates from your power peeps and trash em when they stop cooling buy another.

This -- use em and replace them with a higher seer unit when they fail.

My understanding is half the failures are due to bad installs. Not vacuuming down enough with a micron gauge, bad flaring, incorrectly torqued fittings etc.

All mini splits are "precharged". The condenser has enough refrigerant for the length of lines included. The lines however, are not "precharged" or sealed like the ones Mr Cool offers. You will need to vacuum the lines at the very least.
What equipment do I need to vacuum? A manual one available? Or I have to call an hvac guy?

I have one of these installed myself. The pipes it provided is copper aluminum alloy. It's very soft and easy to maneuver. The unit ran very cool.
So you vacuumed the line yourself?
