This new plan includes 5 GB Hotspot, where the old plan the hot spot was extra.
It's prepay for a whole year, so you don't have to worry about remembering to pay every month and that's where you get the discount, because they get their money up front. They send you 2 SIM cards, so choose the one you like. The black card is Verizon and the White card is T-mobil. If you find out that you get better service on T-mobil or vice versa, then you can login to your account and click the chat box at bottom to switch to the other carrier for free. At first they charged me $2, but refunded the money couple days later. Shipping for the SIM cards is free.

Here's summary of Unlimited Plans:
$17.50/mo x 12 mos = $210 for the year = 10 GB premium data & 5 GB hot spot
$22.50/mo x 12 mos = $270 for the year = 35 GB premium data & 10 GB hot spot
$32.50/mo x 12 mos = $390 for the year = 100 GB premium data & 50 GB hot spot

I ported my digits from Charter Spectrum mobil. I got the account number from my billing page and then I selected the tab to port my digits and they gave me a security pin. Then I logged in the US mobil site and ported my digits. It took total 5 minutes to port my digits after inserting the new SIM and re-power the cell phone. There is a helpful chat box at the bottom where the IT tech can help if you have any questions. No degradation in service, since Charter Spectrum and US mobil both use Verizon towers.

I've never heard this company, how does it compare to Mint Mobile? Prices are better -basically more for the same price.
Mint mobil has a handsome actor as the pitch man and us mobil just has an eagle. But that eagle gets popular during july 4th.
Both companies are mvno.

Keep in mind they just switched everyone (even existing customers who paid for a full year of unlimited without throttle) to streaming only at 480p. Speeds have been greatly reduced. I am so pissed. I went from cruising on 720p sometimes 1080p watching videos on Youtube to 480p. They didn't even send out e-mails to let anyone know they just changed it. Now they have this data waster but they turn it off daily you have to go in your account and switch it on to get higher speeds. Its just beta and eventually they will charge extra for it (HD). I will never pay a year in advance for any service again! So yes my 35G of "premium data" is capped at 480p!
And it's not even really 480p, it's 1.5mbps, and it effects a lot more than just streaming video, Facetime, Instagram, TikTok, etc everything has been slowed to a crawl, and the way they went about making this change is completely unacceptable.

is it worth the switch

I switched to US Mobile's Verizon SIM $6/month plan a few months ago, and the service has been excellent with one exception. Occasionally, and for no reason, my phone will lose service and allow 911 calls only, as if it's been deactivated. Re-booting it immediately fixes the problem, but it's an aggravation because when it happens my phone isn't receiving calls or texts until I notice that it's not connected and reboot it. My old Verizon MVNO never did that, so it's a US Mobile issue. Seems to happen about every couple of weeks on average.

You can bypass this with a VPN. We shouldn't have to but at least there's an option. Fortunately my pixel comes with free Google VPN.
I just installed the 1.1.1.1. app to see if it works for me.

Dispute the purchase with your credit card?
The purchase was 3 months ago. My primary line works fine it was only the secondary that doesn't function fully. 2nd line is only a back up phone but its is irritating. I am going to try so switch back to an old unlocked Iphone XR and see if this solves the problem before I port that line to Visible.

I have this deal from when it was on sale earlier in the year and the service is excellent. No problems porting in my number and I found a coupon code on SD for a free SIM. Couldn't have been easier and I'm very happy with the service.

Not going to add to what others have said about Data Waster, it is what it is.

I almost pulled the trigger with them until I learned about Panda Mobile, a T-Mobile MNVO that's in early access. $15/mo for 30gb of data before they throttle, lifetime pricing. Haven't had any issues so far with them, website's still barebones as they really need to add the data counter.

Yes, 4G is prioritized, but only if you have a 5G capable phone.

I've been extremely happy with US Mobile. I don't do a lot of streaming, but once in a while I'll use one phone as a hotspot and GPS and use another phone for YouTube TV. That has worked well for me, and their customer service has been excellent. I'm chatting with them right now to get my $29 plan changed to $25 per month (I don't need international calling and roaming).

Aside from the 480p video, USM has been absolutely fantastic and their Reddit page/mods are amazing.
