I bought this on the last deal. Pretty happy with it. Works pretty good on carpet and the floor. Great at picking up cat hair and litter. But, I've only had it for 3 months.

I bought the 3 year warranty just in case.
On the fence for this one or the Samsung jet 75 with 2 batteries for $209 shipped with EPP.
I bought the A9 refurb a few years ago. It's been a great vacuum. Both my sister's have Dyson's and I am so glad I got the A9. The batteries have held up and the Dyson's are essentially dead. I haven't noticed a difference in performance between them other than the Dyson being heavier.
I've considered buying another refurb kit (hard and carpet head, stand, two batteries) again.

Not sure about the Samsung Jet, but I also have a refurbished Dyson animal. I like both vacuums and like the other user said, the performance is similar. The LG is more silent, but I don't know about it's life.
I've had the animal for 8 years and it's still going strong.

Whichever has better third party support. Not sure about either but I've been burnt before with not being to find any spare parts on my Samsung Jetbot+.

That was my other consideration. Walmart has the v10 animal refurb for $240. But figured a new unit + 2 batteries for slightly less might be better. Looking at rtngs it looks like the jet 75 and the a9 are fairly even with the Samsung having a little more power and rates 200w vs the a9s 160w.
It's times like these I wish my brain would just shut off and play eenie meenie miny mo.

I think Walmart has a 90 day return. I would honestly try this unit out. As much of a Dyson fan girl as I am, this unit feels really nice on carpet and floors. Plus the battery life is good.
I guess the only complaint I have is picking up litter on the carpet. Sometimes it kicks back the pieces and I have to go over the area again. It's a very minor issue.
One thing I really love that my Dyson didnt come with, is the way the brush is designed. It doesn't have plastic blades or those hair-type bristles. It's just a really small, thin bristle blade in a spiral pattern. It thought it would be such a bad idea, but it works really well with hair, especially pet hair. 90 day return? Completely free? Also, can any vacuum experts suggest a lightweight cordless vac that has a brush attachment for baseboards (that's where all the dust is collecting for me) and maybe it can reach 9ft ceiling for bugs?

It's either 60 or 90,I can't remember. But yeah, it's free to bring it back to the store. I know they do free pickup on other items, but it could be because I have Walmart +. Not sure

I bought the Samsung Jet for $180 and have been using it to clean my studio airbnb. The battery life is not good on max setting, probably why they provided 2. I find the brush roller will stop if I'm vacuuming the sofa (I'm lazy) and I will have to restart the machine to get the brush moving. I don't know if I would recommend the Samsung.
Never had a cordless vacuum before but want more quiet one. I guess battery can be charged , more concern about the noise level. Is Dyson quieter than this one?
Replaced my Dyson V11 Animal with this model last Christmas, much more powerful and easier to use and charge. I bought the refurb model with the extra battery and never run out of battery.
I would say the canister is a bit harder to empty in comparison but barely an inconvenience.

Put some headphones on and hear your favorite music while vacuum.
