We bought this set a few years ago. Maybe Walmart, maybe wayfair. Chairs have held up pretty well but the table has started to unravel pretty badly.

mines was the opposite...table held up but the chairs couldn't take the summer sun and the centers caved in and made a large hole.

Problem I have with all these cheaper sets is that the seats are just too narrow. If they added 6" more width to the single seats it would make such a difference. Otherwise you are squeezing in tight - and I'm not even a big person.

If you are a wider person you definitely cannot get this.

Well, that's why it's a cheap set, isn't it. Something's gotta give.

I'm assuming if you get a protection plan you either get a replacement set or money back towards a new set. A user above posted it was $22 coverage for 3 years. That would not be bad for getting either a new set or replacement within 3 years.

I doubt these online overseas sellers would still exist after 3 years, or they'll use a different business name, or this exact set wont be available. You'll most likely be given store credit to use towards another set.

Right. So about $55 a year then if it doesn't last you get your money back to use towards something else. That doesn't seem too bad unless I'm missing something.

Nope. Unless it doesn't break until the 4th year. And if another cheapo set isn't available, then you'll have to cough up more $$. They offer extended warranty for nearly everything so if u buy it for this, then you should stick to your principles and buy it for everything. I think the point if buying cheapo SD stuff is that u accept that most of these things are disposable. If they last much longer, then its a bonus.

the original response was in regards to the person complaining that these cheap stuff doesn't have all the exact features they want, in this case it being not big enough for them.
