I tried different ways to make the code work, but it keeps saying invalid coupon code.

Worked for me. Not sure if this made a difference, but after doing the sign up, I checked my profile in the app, and it requested more info -either phone or email- then I got a 2nd validation request. Maybe that was the trick?
