Phone to use for Presentations (Must have ability to use HDMI and MicroSD Card)

Hoping someone in the forums can help with this.
I am needing a cheap photo to use as a presenter tool for a trade show demo screen. I currently load a series of mp4 video files into VLC and set it to loop play using a iPad and a USB C to HDMI dongle, but the problem is number one, a $1000 product is out on the table, even when hidden, and gets grabbed real easy. Two, since it's not as easy to put videos onto it, it's not as nimble as pulling the microSD card, loading new videos, and putting it back in.
I know a ton of Android phones, even at the low end, have MicroSD card slots, and I know a bunch of android phones have the HDMI out capability (either through an MHL cord which I do have from an old tablet) or a direct dongle that gives HDMI out support).
I need help finding the cheapest option that would work for me. It does not have to actually be activated on a cell network, so whether it's locked or unlocked, doesn't much matter, and whether it's a carrier I care about, doesn't much matter. Also, doesn't much matter if it's 4G\5G since it's just being used for the above purpose.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
