13mm will be a little lighter, have more pop.

16mm will be more cushioned, a little softer touch.

Most consider 13mm to be a little more power and 16mm to be softer and slightly more control.

The 13 may be better for those who need some pop perhaps for drives or slams, while the 16 may be better for those who want better control of resets/slow downs.

Is this paddle good for beginners? I have no experience with the game or the rackets but have experience with tennis.

Curious where that $160 MSRP is coming from. Just googled this racket and didn't see any listed for more than $100

I found a reddit thread discussing the paddle and one user commented they saw it was $127 and thought that was a good price. I've just been looking for a solid couple of paddles to try it out with my daughter, so figured either way this is good.

For beginners, this is good. You'll always want a paddle with good grit and thermoformed. I always recommend Friday paddles for beginners who don't want to break the bank but this is a steal

MSRP does no mean a product ever sells for that price. It's only a recommendation from the manufacturer (and means almost nothing for many products)

Seems like a good paddle compared to AliExpress juciao if I didn't order another paddle lastnight off AliExpress I may have tried this one as my frame is disconnecting. I play 3-4 times a week for a few hours

I just started playing a couple of months ago and have been using the wooden paddle that came with the set. Been working for me so far. Lol!
Btw, I'm in the market for a decent paddle now tho since a new pickleball complex is being built 5 minutes from me.

This paddle is currently $69 on Amazon [amazon.com]. It has an interesting price history (see attached). Looks like they aspired to a higher price ($160) starting a year ago, but it has been dropping since because, I assume, people aren't buying. The 32 verified reviews [amazon.com] are mostly good, but Amazon has tagged this as a "Frequently Returned Item".

ALS shipping is $7.99 for this (to me) on orders under $49

If the 15% coupon is not one-time, someone please post it.
