I got this on a previous promo in my local costco. Now, none of the stores near me offer this promo, so it could be store specific. This MT is good, not great but ok, for $30. Blade doesn't hold an edge for too long, but at least it is not chippy. Costco previously had the Skeletool for $65 which apparently flopped so they are bringing in this proven deal. Later on will reduce to $24 and that would be close to the real price of this.
Here's [youtube.com]a good review of this.

Apples to oranges but I'm waiting for the harbor freight wave knockoff to come back in stock. It's $10 more compared to this Costco deal.

Great tool. I have the larger Wave+ and it's the best multitool I've used for the last 5 years. Very well built and durable.

I was in the South Ogden, UT store yesterday and they had quite a few of these at $29.99. I recently purchased the skeletool combo so I didn't need it.

Was the recent skeletool combo deal better than this?

The wave plus does have a small set of scissors. They're not super impressive, IMO.

What are you talking about with the Skeletool flopping? It was sold out before many of us even had a chance to buy it. A flop doesn't sell out.

There's supposed to be a sale in Aug that will bring the price to below $30

Stores in our area (DFW) never sold out of the skeletool. Plenty on the shelves until they took them down.

This is a good tool in the $25-30 range. It's essentially a Bolster sans serrated blade which was replaced with package opener. I've found myself carrying it more often than I planned.

What I like- it's not as bulky as some of my other multitools—good carry feel. It's spring loaded-loaded.

What I don't like- my only complaint is the package opener isn't accessible without opening the tool, unlike the main blade which is easily from the outside.
