I highly recommend getting the kind that has vertical tabs or hangers supporting each power tool slot. Not necessarily this one, but here's a link for an example. All the other ones sag too much when loaded with tools.

I highly recommend getting the kind that has vertical tabs or hangers supporting each power tool slot. Not necessarily this one, but here's a link for an example. All the other ones sag too much when loaded with tools.

this exactly. the style of the ones in the OP deal are really weak. i know from experience. also the price is meh at best.

Ideally with the ability to mount the power tool like drill/impact by the body for quick usage, as well as allow mounting by the battery in the same compartments for awkwardly shaped tools? Specifically for compatibility with the Dewalt line ideally.

The plastic mounts that clip into the tool battery slot might work. I have a lot of these in my workshop for under mounting, they work well. Not recommending this particular one, but here's an example:

I bought a couple of Ryobi tools recently and their mounting solutions are outrageously expensive. I was about to order something from AliExpress, but this looks like a better solution compared to what I was looking at. Thank you!

If you can't find anything, there's always the custom 3/4" ply solution. Tons of YouTube tutorials out there

I have got similar ones on Amazon for around $20-25 before but right now they are all unavailable for some reason. If you're not in a hurry you could wait for a better deal.
