These hardly go on sale or ever have this good of a rebate. I just bought one and didn't even have to submit a rebate, the store just applied the rebate and sold it to me at $200 off. Out the door with a $35 delivery fee, $23 hose and haul away service I paid $1327.

This is the best model in terms of cleaning power.

The coupon linked showed you need to buy a washer & dryer for $300 off, or get $200 off for a dryer.

The rebate is $300 for washer/dryer combo or $200 for the dryer only. THERE IS NO REBATE for the washer only as far as I can see.
I included my receipt in the images.

I was so unimpressed by this machine. I'm convinced people think they're good because they're inefficient and loud. My Miele uses a fraction of the water and energy and gets my laundry cleaner and is gentler so my clothes last longer.

I never said I did not believe you. I was just stating the fact about what the REBATE FORM says. FYI: When I try to click on either of those last 2 images it brings me to the speed queen site and I cannot view them. All I said was that on all of the sites I looked at, when you pull up the REBATE FORM it states clearly that it is $300 off the pair or $200 off the dryer only. Did you haggle with the salesperson yo get him to apply it?

I have this exact washer and if you want a top-load washer with an agitator, this is the way to go. However, it's definitely not gentle on your clothes so consider using laundry bags.
I'd also recommend Miele washers if you prefer front-load HE washers or want a washer that is more gentle to your articles. Miele is also a reliable brand and they supply parts for 20 years.
Whatever you get, avoid top-load HE washers with an impeller at all costs.

I'll see if a mod or someone can make those images actual links. Might be able to pull them up or enlarge them on a an actual computer. No haggling though, I just did the text feature and asked what the best price was and they mentioned the rebate. I asked if they did military discount and they said this was a better price. They did everything over text and then called to confirm and get my card number.

I added the link for my receipt and rebate in the title.

I remember this was during the obama admin that H.E. label became imposed. We had no choice at that time but to buy one then had to buy H.E soap. Everyone that washed their clothing gets white marks all over, especially on darker clothes. This is because H.E machines use the tiniest amount of water and electricity they can to do a wash. So the marks and dirt never comes off your clothes unless yours has an option like deep water and multiple rinse to get around that. Still it doesnt work as well as a speed queen.
Why are you bringing politics in to a washing machine thread?

Thanks for supplying link to receipts! From your receipt it just looks like they just gave you a really great price 😛 There was no mention that they applied a rebate. I only have a few dealers here and they are all getting $1327 for them. I could go in and try to get them to apply the savings without actually doing the rebate like they did for you... I usually dont have great luck doing that however...

We bought an LG WM3470HWA at the full price of $1099 from Home Depot on October 23rd 2012. I replaced the cold water valve in 2019 because it would not close due to calcium buildup. Will probably need to do this again in 2026.

FWIW we just bought a SQ TR7 on the 4th of July. Our 7 year old Maytag bit the dust royally. Cycles ran with hot water would make the electronic touch panel wet from steam. Poor design. I did a ton of research after all of my family told me to get a SQ. They're still made in USA and are very old school and simple. The machine physically weighs almost twice as much as our Maytag. The lid design keeps the steam from hot water in the machine. My wife noticed that the laundry room was less humid. The drum seems to be completely dry almost immediately after using it. Our old machine always smelled musty and even the affresh tablets barely helped. Speed Queens are tested to last 25 years and because of their simplicity are very easy to repair. This is a "buy once, cry once" purchase.

We opted for the TR7 over the TC5 for the quieter operation since the laundry room borders the master bedroom.

TLDR: our biggest regret was not buying a SQ sooner and we couldn't be happier spending $1500 on a washing machine that looks like it's from the 90's

27 minute wash cycle. We love our speed queen. If you want super clean set to Heavy Duty. We use eco cycle - we don't cut firewood or do extreme manual work. Our clothes look clean and smell fresh. That's all we want.

The consensus online is to get the TC model and avoid the TR model due to its poor cleaning performance. This is also the reason why the TR model frequently goes on sale.

I remember this was during the obama admin that H.E. label became imposed. We had no choice at that time but to buy one then had to buy H.E soap.
During the obama admin we had a 30 year-old Whirlpool on city water/sewer service. No powdered detergent at Walmart had H.E labels on it. I think you'd still have to work pretty hard nowadays to find powdered detergent with an H.E label:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ARM-HA...s/34334601

I bought a bucket of powdered Arm & Hammer in the last few years there, but before using it up I started making homemade soap. Somebody gave us a box of powdered non-H.E Dreft for baby clothes - now that's a ripoff. Why do babies need perfume in their clothes?

The Whirlpool had a broken spring and could only run on permanent press without threatening to knock a hole in the drywall. I bought the LG front loader for our new house, and knowing what I know now I can't imagine the septic field taking back-to-back 50-gallon loads. I still have it sitting in the shop, but I would have to drain it into the yard.

I still used up all the non-H.E powder in the front loader, just by using smaller amounts of soap in smaller loads. I've never had enough free time to think of making homemade soap again. I wash clothes soaked in used motor oil and they come out clean enough to wear again. Where the dryer would take hours and hours with the Whirlpool, the dryer now dries faster than the washer washes.

Yeah, I heard all the Speed Queen yada-yada when I didn't buy one in 2012.
