These hardly go on sale or ever have this good of a rebate. I just bought one and didn't even have to submit a rebate, the store just applied the rebate and sold it to me at $200 off. Out the door with a $35 delivery fee, $23 hose and haul away service I paid $1327.

This is the best model in terms of cleaning power.

I have had some problems with the one I have but not mechanical but rather electrical. I will come to pull a load out only to find the tub still has water in it and the front lights were flashing. Since it was under warrenty, I calld the dealership . The guy came out, I showed him a vid I shot of the lights flashing. He said he never heard of the issue. He pulled out his phone and started to search the web with no luck. The only help was to unplug 5 min and restart the load. He could not even find info to interpet the flashing lights.

Since then that happens once a month, but I had found some info on the net. Actually it all made sense afer I read that stuff. These things spin verrrrry fast and the clothes come out almost dry. To make it "safe" for home use, it is critical that the door safety switch reports that the door is closed. I now listen for that door lock / Switch clicking. If it can not verify the door is locked, it stops and posts a code. If there is a wakness it is that. There must be a issue in the design or firmware on the model I have. I still love the thing because dry times are so mutch lower. I got it for right near $1000 as I recall in 2021 (when the guys could come to your house again after the man made contagen was released.). After learning that was the issue I have leaned to work with it untill I cant and then I will make use of that warrenty in hopes the switch / lock gets ugaded replacement parts.

When operating these DO NOT try to open it up the door during the operation at all. The door will be locked and pulling it open could damage that plastic lock . While my tech was here, I got to look at what is inside. I was dumbfounded how small the drive motor was. How it spins the drum so fast seems crazy to me based on its size. The tech did some continuity checks on the switch and put it back together then scratched his head. He said it works now ( it was unplugged for the 5 min whie he took it apart) and if it happens again, call him. Well I cant say for sure, but I think it is a bad swich/lock design. It also may throw a code for un ballaned load, but since I was having issues with water in the tub, I have concluded it is the switch. It is a small plastic piece that seems rather light for the job it was intended for. I can easily see pulling up on the locked door stressing the lock / switch.

I would still buy again. I would also tell folks that never open it up while any light is on the controll board. My old washer only cared if I opend it up while on the spin cycle. After years and years of bad habbits adding stuff by just flipping open the lid is probably a bad habbit.. Now I can see how I might have damaged the switch. I might have caused the issue with out noticing or thinking.

Some one chimed in that these are not as watter eficiant? I do not see how. It has a sensor that adds just enough water to cover the load (remember mine crashes after the water fill). I do use the extra rinse every time, but that is a personal preferance (Skin issues).

I didn't think it was possible, but it seems people in the year of our lord, 2024, can't figure out how to do a load of laundry properly. What a world!

Have you tried reading the owner's manual for your washer?

I remember this was during the obama admin that H.E. label became imposed. We had no choice at that time but to buy one then had to buy H.E soap. Everyone that washed their clothing gets white marks all over, especially on darker clothes. This is because H.E machines use the tiniest amount of water and electricity they can to do a wash. So the marks and dirt never comes off your clothes unless yours has an option like deep water and multiple rinse to get around that. Still it doesnt work as well as a speed queen.

I'm looking for a quality but budget friendly Stacked Washer Dryer to use in my workshop. Simple settings is better as multiple people will use it and I totally hate to deal with broken appliances. Supposedly prices are all around $1200 for different brands and models, but I'm totally confused if any is better than others. Any suggestion will be very appreciated.

We bought an LG WM3470HWA at the full price of $1099 from Home Depot on October 23rd 2012. I replaced the cold water valve in 2019 because it would not close due to calcium buildup. Will probably need to do this again in 2026.
Sounds like you may benefit from a water softener

This price is crazy. Twice the cost of Maytag
Maytag washers used to cost this much (adjusted to inflation, of course) as well. Nowadays Maytag/Whirlpool makes cheap disposable appliances just like GE-Haier.

You can save water, we want clean clothes fast lol. I water my lawn / garden...uses 100x more water than laundry
So your logic is that because you waste water elsewhere, you also advocate wasting water washing clothes

I've thought about it, but don't want to discharge into the septic field. Compared to other places in the country, it's about as least bad as it could be (while still being noticeable.) Plus, it's kept the water heater lasting forever. Not looking forward to squeezing the extra inch of insulation through the door.

yes, its a tiny amount either way. go tell your local golf course to stop watering...they waste more water than a my neighborhood uses in a year. ppl focus on the dumbest things...50 gallons of water a year is a drop in the bucket

Was unable to open their website as their provider blocks (some) VPN provider's IP address space. I have never heard of this brand - are these commercial machines? Or, just really high-end washing machines (i.e. the Subzero of washing machines so to speak)?
