I have a shark vaccuum. Functionally it works well but the software sort of sucks.

Same experience here. No complaints about the unit itself, but the software is quirky, albeit functional enough.

You can't for instance set it to run twice in one day automatically. No reason given why, it's just something you're not allowed to schedule.

Can you use this vacuum without a app or Internet? Just push a button and it goes and cleans and auto empties when returns to docking station? This is important for older people. Would it clean with or without the Matrix mode? Would it boost suction automatically on carpet? Is the filter replaceable on the dirt bin?

Yeah, wishing to know this as well. Not elderly, I just don't want to download an app, create an account, learn the app UI, troubleshoot, etc. Trying to minimize the number of things that require another digital account, the number of which is ballooning rapidly

I do not have the same exact version. But, I do see clean and dock buttons on this one like mine. You can simply start cleaning by pressing clean and it will dock automatically

Actually liked my Shark, very powerful suction and is the only bot that never complained, finished the job every single time for months and returned to dock…

I must have worked it too hard or did not show enough appreciation because it jumped down the steps to its death.

I have a shark. Works well when it works, came with mapping, but the thing constantly gives off error messages and pauses in the middle of the floor when nothing is wrong.

I have a 6 year old roomba that only pauses when stuck.

I returned my baseless one to Woot. Spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to get it to do its initial mapping run. Would pause every couple minutes saying a sensor was blocked, despite unscrewing and cleaning every facet I could.
