It's always going to be largely anecdotal.

A lot of these doomsayers do illogical things, like setting up the system in a room that's practically a sauna or using an older desk that included a tower cabinet.

Another fun one is when they put a case with glass near a window that gets sunlight and then can't figure out why temps are magically hotter during a certain time of day.

Yes, the i9 runs warm, but it's not impossible to manage if your ambient temps aren't ridiculously high.

This and the Lenovo Legion deal are tempting but I've semi-retired from gaming. There hasn't been a single AAA title that has gotten me excited. And honestly, my life has much more richer and more productive after finally giving up video games at age 47.

This is correct, I actually purchased it yesterday morning at the $2069 price and then saw that they reduced the price by $100 later in the evening. I reached out to dell and they are refunding the difference

This cpu not only is slower than the i9 14900KF ... Dell unlike its XPS line up desktops Disables the on board GPU on their alienware cpu i9 14900K.. Think about that as the very reason why id want this with the slower cpu etc is because that intel chip has integrated graphics in case the GPU card takes a sh*t to begin with.. i dont like that DELL DISABLES IT --- Next.. as i wont buy it ..
