As an aside, the only @mmo related deal I have seen in six months was promoted by a SD staff member and was a terrible deal

Slickdeals founder was pro 2A, the site changed a lot after it got sold to investors (nowadays it is ShillDeals)

There's also SlickGuns... I've used it in the past. I do see some posts pop up here for ammo but it's rare, they usually didn't make FP but will be in hot deals.

SD is pretty much a monopoly nowadays after consolidations in deal aggregator market (e.g. FatWallet shutdown after urlhasbeenblocked acquisition). There are still specialized sites like https://www.doctorofcredit.com/ , to my knowledge nothing like SD any more in US

hmm wow. pretty interesting there are not more competitors. it seems like there is not a high barrier to entry. especially considering all the botting, scraping tools that resellers use. I wonder what are the limiting factors.

Slickdeals is a for-profit business, and it's not their place to fight for our 2A rights if it will have a negative affect on their business. Frankly, I'd rather businesses stay the hell out of politics as that's not what they exist for. Slickdeals offers a pretty good product, so I come here for the deals. When I want gun deals I go to gun.deals, simple!

I actually appreciate any business that stays in it's lane and avoids politics. And since we are all here for the deals, maybe we should too.
