They can't cross reference your name, banks don't do this because of misspellings (unless it's a natural a manual process like a mortgage). It's based off your zip code which you can easily manipulate by using a different card, prepaid card, friend, family, etc

It's incredible how wrong people on here are. Next time you buy something online put "Cookie monster" in your name
