My main complaint with these is that they don't sell replacement pads.
I got some new pads from brainwavz and they're way too thick, so these are sitting on my shelf now.

Never heard of pads being too thick, that actually makes me want to try them.

Brainwavz pads are great it just messes with the way the headphones sit on my ears.
I have a pair of AKG's and swapping for thicker pads made them better, it's just that pushing the cloud's away from my ears kind of changed the way they sound in a negative way I would say.
In stock form these headphones are great, super comfortable. I think the pads lasted me about a year of 6hrs+ per day use before the fake leather started flaking off.

How are these compatible with a PC if it's a 3.5mm jack?

Replacement pads are readily available from China for <$4 (AliExpress). But everyone I know who tried thicker pads (N = 3) strongly prefer them over the original. The original pads are thin and can get thinner over time, resulting in hot spots/pressure points that make it feel as though the headset is clamping too hard. Thicker pads get rid of the clamping and can also help if you wear glasses. They are generally more comfortable, but can be hotter depending on the material. I prefer velour over pleather for this reason. Replacement thick pads cost anywhere from $7 to $25 for a pair depending on which brand and where your purchase them (Temu/Ali vs Amazon).

For reference, I have used a Cloud 2 headset daily for the past 7 years. It has taken a lot of abuse but still works perfectly. I swapped to aftermarket ear pads about 3-4 yrs ago and can't go back to stock. My wife has been using a set of Cloud Alpha daily for the past 4 years, also with aftermarket pads. I actually got a cloud core for $30 on a deal three years ago as a backup in case the headset broke, but that is still unopened in the box. For $30, I will get another backup for when (if?) my old ones ever break.

Most laptops have a combined (ie mic + audio) 3.5mm
jack. If your PC has separate mic/audio ports, you can either get a 3.5mm splitter cable (about $2) or use a USB audio card with one port for mic/audio (about $3 on Temu).

Two-part answer:
1. I have these - they came with a 3.5mm splitter for input/output which I use on my PC.
2. The 3.5mm can do both input and output. My laptop only has the single audio port, but is able to do both.

Bought these a few years ago for $20 ( I believe from GameStop with a coupon). Still work and look like new! I been using them the last 3 months for streaming with no problems. Have not had a cheaper set last as long and still functional 100%. Will hold out until next week (Prime Day) to see if they drop a little more for a backup.

Is this dead? Was going to grab one and coupon is gone from product page.
Google searches say that this should be active for another 12 hours

Why can't these be used on Playstation if it's a 3.5mm connector?

I have the HyperX CloudX II wired version and the right side of my headphones randomly stops producing sounds. I have to hit it physically to make it work again. It's probably due to the soldering inside, but not sure. I would still recommend it for $30 though.
