If it is eligible, after you select the Amazon card as payment method it will say "Get 5% Back, and additional rewards on select items charged to this card". If not eligible, the second part about additional rewards would not appear.

Appreciate the post, but it's a bit misleading.
The 5% off with the card is regular and expected.
It's only an extra 5% off with this deal FWIW (if I'm understanding it right). How many items would you buy if told they were a mere 5% off except for the ones that don't go on any sale at all?

Meh, they offer 6% off at checkout and it's really just 1% more.

I still take it because I don't mind waiting a couple of days for some items.
