This is an excellent deal. The ram seems upgradable too. Some people mention having a trouble with the Wi-Fi, but you should be able to replace the card with an Intel one if needed.
With 10% CB and an Amex offer, hard to beat this in terms of performance / price ratio.
Is there some secret to getting a sign up code? I made 2 new accounts: one one my phone data, and the other on my PC. All I got was welcome to Dell Rewards email.
Edit: 3 accounts now no luck. If I dont get a code in the morning, I will call and request one.
Not sure if they can get me one right away. But I am willing to wait.

Realtek antennas are trash - definitely get an Intel replacement immediately if you buy this.
Is this laptop an overkill then for general day to day usage, browsing, video calls, Google sheets, watching movies etc?
At this price? no
If you can get this for 385 pre-tax like my mom did then this is a crazy deal because everything at that price point is garbage. Like this is spec wise overkill but there's no negative to having that much power, it just means your computer will be relevant for longer. The screen is average but that's the only negative I've seen with this laptop.
Again if you can get it for <400 and need a laptop that isn't for gaming (though this can definitely do light gaming) go for it. $599-$60(Dell 10% off)-$55(10%CB)-$105(Amex) = $379 Pre-tax
That's bargain pricing. Like this is an insane deal and I wish I needed a 3rd laptop lol

Yeah, I got it for effective $411 after 10.35% tax (10% off, $50 off $250 amex offer, $200+$150 Amex Business Platinum Dell credits that I value at 80%, 10% cashback site, extra 1% Amex offer on Platinum).

The ram is also crazy.
This is an amazing deal. The gpu scored 5500 passmark in case you're wondering, not anywhere close to a discrete gpu but damn good for integrated.
Solid build quality as well
Is this 550 after tax or before tax ?
I think it is after tax .
Thanks
