I have this exact snow blower and for $68 it's an absolute deal if you have a good 12GA extension cord and have realistic expectations. The auger on this is thick rubber not plastic. It is also user-serviceable should you need to replace it. Gas blowers have their place, but for the few times a year i need to plow this thing just plugs in and works.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this unit performed when using it the morning after snow... You MUST use it while the snow is still soft. Most bad reviews say if you wait to long until the snow is heavy it constantly jams up in the unit.

Weak handle, made up of plastic. I checked reviews, plastic handle will break along with plastic auger. You are welcome!

Use silicone lubricate spray in the auger and all under where the snow enters the snowblower to help prevent clogs and jams. It will help with many of the issues of being bogged down by snow. It won't however help you with heavy wet snow all that much, for that, you just need a beefier machine.

Got one to keep at my mother's house, so I don't have to break my back shoveling her sidewalks anymore, thanks OP. Should come in handy here in Denver

I have this… the issue is the part where the handle meets the shaft where you lock in with the mechanism breaks easily. Mine broke during the second time of use. I called customer service and they were great. The rubber snowflinger also gets stuck constantly in damp snow. Not they're best product

Like the others said, dont buy if you live in the midwest where you get heavy wet snow.

I also have this same unit and got it on clearance. It's a great supplement to my my main blower and is great for smaller tasks, ie clearing the deck and patio. It's also cheaper than decent push shovel.

I second this.

8 inches of wet snow it handled it with a bit of effort.

I didn't spray anything but should have.

I daisy chained every extension cord in the house and didn't cause a fire 😂 250 foot driveway.

in CT.

I have a similar version. But I think mine has the headlights. It gets the job done just invest in a solid extension cord. Granted the last few winters in NYC have been light so i gave yet to test on more then 4 inches of snow it has handled the snow we have had well

I have a similar Snow Joe (or this exact one, I can't remember). I thought it would be good for if my back was hurting and couldn't shovel. It does such a poor job I never bother, even if I'm hurting.

While it's not amazing it is better than shoveling by hand and worth the money on sale...

I have a 150 ft of driveway and a circle. I've been using mine for 3 years with no issue (22 inch version). For the price these things are a steal. No maintenance, plug it in and power it up.

Cord is a bit annoying to get used to. And I had to replace auger belt. That's about it.

Chicago suburbs. Gas will of course be more "powerful" but with a wee bit of planning this is a million times better.
