Hmmm, interesting--these are the MAX Output EXP models with 21700 cells, which are better than the lower capacity batteries with smaller Li-Ion cells. This will give 16.0Ah total for $180, which is about is about $11.25 per Ah. Folks have generally said $10 per Ah is a decent price for the regular 18V batteries so for these MAX Output EXP ones, it seems like a pretty good deal.

They also have a 4-pack of the 6.0Ah MAX Output (not EXP) batteries for $229, so 24.0Ah total, or about $9.50 per Ah.

Thanks OP. Personally, I am going to wait for tabless batteries to come out to see how much these drop further.

No, the initial tabless offering will be 4 Ah and it's not even out yet. 😞 The tabless batteries will confusingly also be labeled "EXP," but with the "P" on an orange background.

What are the benefits with a tabless battery?

Saw a YouTube video where these weren't that great in terms of runtime vs the 6ah max.

I have that 6 amp & 8 amp and the leaf blower. What he didn't tell you is that the 8 amp has def much more blowing force, esp when you hit that turbo button. You can feel the difference when using the non exp or 4-6amp exp battery. Run time maybe similar in my experience.
