As some very basic points, she has more natural human cadence and vocal tone, you don't need the wake word per request, and she can distinguish between voices.
It is important to understand that Alexa isn't an AI. She is a personal assistant that translates speech to text, does a keyword search against various databases, and returns the result via text-to-speech. She is limited by the databases that Amazon provides and the databases that you link her to via apps. When she gets things wrong, I have found that is largely due to colloquialisms that I use that are not programmed into her keywords or are keywords via the app. You can, though, program her via the Alexa app to associate various colloquialisms with specific actions.

…"Currently, it's 70 degrees outside."
"Alexa, weather FORECAST!"
…"Currently, it's 70 degrees outside."
"Alexa, weather forecast in (my town)."
…"Currelty, it's 70 degrees outside. Today, look for sunny sky…"
Should rename it Dumblexa…
That's odd... Alexa gives me the (short) forecast even though I only ask for the temperature.
I'd really like an indoor + outdoor temp (on a Dot, I don't think the Pop has a temp sensor) in one command. I guess I could build a routine for that, if I could get her to drop the mini-forecast.

The sound on the sphere Dot is much better. Still a tiny speaker, with sound not as it's core function, but it's tolerable. (My wife doesn't get that when she tells Alexa just to play music, it comes out of Alexa instead of the Sonos speakers.)
"Alexa, are the upstairs lights off?"
It responds expectedly to "Alexa, turn off the upstairs light" and "Alexa, turn on the upstairs lights."
