I bought this exact set of lights two years ago (nearly to the day, literally 7/12/22, just looked it up!) for about $2 more (on sale at the time as well) and I've been waiting for them to go back on sale to pick up another strand. These things are fantastic!!!!

We don't use them a ton, probably flip them on once a week, but they've held up absolutely perfectly over 2 years of frying in some pretty solid heat (we're north of 90 for most the summer). In SoCal so typically not a ton of rain but we got near record levels these last 2 years and they haven't so much as flinched.

There's a lot to love about these: ap controlled, solidly built, nice variation in lighting (adjusts from dim to pretty bright), but my very favorite part is the fact that the bulbs are a high quality plastic. I've had to take them down a couple of times and with my old glass bulbs I'd inevitably smash one or two in the process. With these you can be really rough and they're gonna be just fine.

Like I said, just picked up another set so that should give you an idea of my opinion, ha!

I would try the Govee RGBIC line but my Costco Feit patio lights are still going strong - and they're 2ft apart spaced. I don't like the 15 per 48ft, or the lack of water proofing on the transformer and control since I have an open pergola scenario.

I bought mine exactly one month ago when it was 19.99 for 48ft. I have not put them up yet since we are going to do the floor in my patio area first but I have tested them. Good brightness and easy to pair and control with phone app. I have mostly Philips Hue lights/strips and I have to say for the price, these are not bad, definitely not feel as high end as hue lights and when adjusting brightness it does not do the gradual smooth change but jumps to different levels of brightness. Also, not a fan of the preset effects. None of them feel decent enough, some gives me headache. I

LOL! They have never been anywhere near that price. Maybe you are thinking about a 3 for one deal, or one that was made to last.

So technically you can get Costco light strings with 24 bulbs in 48 feet and can connect to a TP link timer connector which is a smart option by itself. I have govee for indoor lights but i like the option of 24 light bulbs versus 15.

Are yours in full sun? Being outside and covered vs plastic in full exposure are pretty different. Thanks!!!
Yep, full sun for probably 10ish hours a day. A being in LA (valley, so the hot part) it's definitely dry, can't speak to how they'd hold up in high humidity, but based on our temps I'd say this set is incredibly durable. Or maybe I just got lucky, but like I said, good enough that I went in on another!

Just get any smart plug or the outdoor-style plugs and get whatever non-data hoarding string lights you want.

Say NO to govee shillery and shady products.

48ft is quite long. But only 15 bulbs? That's a bulb about every 3 feet, which is what? Half a tall human or so…. Seems kinda far apart to me. Maybe it isn't that bad.

Anybody know if the light is anygood? I have the worst luck with LED lights and discounts. They always seem to be the worst quality and start flickering after a few months of use.
There is a review mixed in here somewhere that they're very good. Had them for 2 years and said they were definitely buying more

The bulbs are actually even further apart at 3.3 feet. Its sad they cheaped out on the bulb count, just as they have done with all the strip lights they sell through this forum to those who dont have a clue. It looks like Costco is the only way to go, with a bulb every 2 feet... unless someone finds a comparable product with an outstanding warranty for less. Yeah, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
