Anyone know when or if Ring will produce a touchscreen control panel like other modern security systems that offer home automation?

Is this a good deal/price?
If not, any alternative suggestions?

I believe the Amazon Echo hub is trying to do this?

Touch screen as the only way of activating/deactivating an alarm? No thanks.

Physical buttons please.. and while we're at it, no more forced apps that will (inevitably, if not already) be used to try to sell you more stuff, and/or collect/sell your data...

I have my Ring integrated into Home Assistant and have arm/disarm buttons on touchscreens around the house. Haven't tried with an Echo but might be possible as well.

Touchscreens fail a lot more and when it comes to an alarm panel you don't want that failing.

These items are a bait to get you to pay monthly $14 for rest of your life. If you don't pay, the app is useless and you get no notifications.
Try to find something where you can use the app, self manage your home and alarm system, and pay only when you take additional services like facial recognition or human monitoring.

Save your money and find something else with no monthly fee. Ring system is a brick without paying monthly fee.

I am not sure where you got that from? I have the ring system for the last four years and I have never paid a subscription fee, if the alarm gets triggered, I get instant notification on my phone as well as an email that I have set up in case I'm out of country.

If you pay the sub; you get a security cert. most insurance companies give you money off your home insurance. In my case, I get about $300 off a year so it pays for itself.

Not sure why you think it's useless without subscription. I've been using ring alarm system for both my properties for years without subscription. Without subscription it just won't call policy for you when alarm is triggered, which is called "self monitoring".
