You'll get 2 bands. Just received mine. Watch box had the watch without a band plus the free white band. The selected band was in a separate box.

Free white band was in the watch box. The selected band was in it's own box. I am talking about product box, not shipping box. There is a watch product box, and a strap product box in the shipping box. The watch box had the watch without any band attached to it, and a sealed white fabric band. The band I selected was the green fabric band that shipped in it's own sealed product box.

FYI, there is no S/M silver Athleisure band offered by Samsung! At least for now. For some reason, the S/M colors are different than the M/L colors!!! Only the green color is available in both sizes.

For the trade in, do we need the bands as well or just the watch is fine ?

Thinking to keep the bands of my watch 4 and try if it fits for watch 7

Nobody is receiving 3 bands dude. I don't know where you got this idea of people getting 3 bands. The 2nd line item is suppose to be the band included in the watch box and the free band is the bonus for preordering.
Did you even understand my post about what a default build configuration is? Your line items don't indicate additional bands whether you have 1 or 2. Basically if you are configuring your watch to the default build then you will have an extra line item to change the default size (40 mm ordering M/L band or 44 mm ordering S/M band) because it notifies the person packaging the watch to put the alternate size band instead of the default one. I am not sure why the concept is so hard to understand. I tried it lay it out as clear as possible.

Is this the free band or the selected desired band? You cannot control the free band in terms of type/color/size. I am not talking about the free band at all here. I am talking about the default desired band that you can select when talking about build configurations.

All they did was they accidentally put the free fabric band into the Watch 7 box instead of the on the side and gave you the sport band on the side. They could have easily put the sport band into the Watch 7 box like they were suppose to do. What you should be looking at is not what band came in the Watch 7 box but whether the 2 bands that were ordered matched up regardless of how it came in.

Do we need send back the charger with the watch for the trade-in?

Also is resetting the watch from the watch enough or is there some separate "Find My" feature we also need to turn off before trade-in?

Let me clarify, I did not receive my order yet, I was just asking beforehand. Mine only shows 2 items (watch + free band).
