I really like the Ultra, but now I'm wondering how long it'll take for the price to come down even lower...
Decisions, decisions...

I've had my Watch 5 Pro since it came out and its been great, no cracks or dings and I hit this on walls and machines at the gym all the time.
Battery size on the Watch 5 Pro and Watch Ultra is the same at 590mAh, what'll usually helps with battery life is going from 5nm to 3nm but the display is larger at 1.5" vs. 1.4" and 480x480 pixels rather than 450x450. Going from dual core to 5 core and going for 32GB storage/2GB of ram as opposed to 16GB/1.5GB so that'll be a drain.
The biggest thing would probably come from having better water resistance and more "accurate" sensors as well as GPS which is big for sports/fitness enthusiasts, for everyday use its probably nothing. It's also going to be heavier at 60.4g vs. 46.5g.
So overall it depends on what you want to get out of it, floss carter did say its a "manlier" bigger watch lol but we can all see the identity crisis between wanting to be square and circle for wearOS.
I initially wanted the 7 to retain look/size but battery was too small.
Overall I'm looking to upgrade thats why I got it, value of the watch will go down anyway. For $242 w/ tax and $27.00 cash back its not too bad. Also upgrading my Buds Pro (unused) to Buds 3 Pro, still use my Buds 2 Pro and Buds+ at the gym...
I got the 44mm non LTE version:

I also use a Polar Grit x2 Pro which weighs in at 79g, 1.39" display, sapphire crystal, stainless steel etc... but this thing is massive and looks larger than the 5 Pro but! feels good and the size/thickness compliments each other so it doesnt look too bulky or anything. I don't even notice it throughout my workouts. I'm hoping with the 60.5g, 1.5" display from the Ultra that it'll look and feel just as good
watch 6 for watch 7 for $60 bucks, already had the watch 6 so no brainer.
Then, i bought a used watch 4 classic online for about $50 bucks and traded it in for the watch 7 ultra for $270 total. $310 total to get the watch. Best value for trade ins for the ultra.
Will sell off one of them depending on which i prefer.
Thanks for bringing up the Samsung app. I was able to cancel and reorder with the app in order to get 7% rewards from my credit card merchant's link and this covers the tax. What other discount did you get in order to drop it down to $224?

edit-- now i've got it down to $224 in the app + tax.... hmmmm
edit 2-- so the bezel spins, but doesn't actually interface with the watch OS!? What are they thinking!?
edit 3-- alright i bit. with the cb from the usual spot it breaks out to ~$215 total with trade in of the classic 6. Extra band as well.
