Overview: If Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new Buds arrives. You can also print the label from your online Samsung account.
You will send in the old earbuds/headphones only (no boxes, chargers, cases, etc.). Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the trade-in to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting it.
When/how will I get instructions for trading in my device? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the new Buds ships to a few days after the Buds arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.

It's $149 for me after $100 trade-in credit (Apple Airpods). I already used my $50 reservation credit for the watch. Frown
I chatted with a Samsung Rep, but they were unable to provide any other promo codes.
If it's that important to you to stay on the newest trend, do the trade-in now so you don't have wait x amount of time for the price drop and end up with two pairs of buds. Or keep your buds2pro and upgrade when buds4 is out. The trade-in values appears to be decent on older generations (buds+ vs buds2pro is 25 bucks) anyway.
The buds can "remember" a lot of devices so no need to re-pair when you switch. I use multiple set of buds between Android, iOS, Mac and non Samsung devices.

It's just weird even amazon still shows the free case via Samsung Store, but of course you pay full price.

Other thing is the headphones are $149 with the bundle discount, so purchasing them separately for $100 w/ buds live trade in means I am really only getting $50 for the trade.
