Nice beefy CPU (27k passmark) but doesn't seem the RAM is upgradable?

Correct, it's LPDDR5 and soldered.

It is a beefy CPU, and a relatively bright screen, which makes me wonder why the battery isn't a little bigger.

But if this has a second open m.2 key it's a definite buy.

Can someone verify backlit keyboard? I'm seeing that there isn't one.

For the narrow slice of users who have (or want) an EGPU setup, this would work nicely: powerful CPU + 120 HZ OLED screen but no discrete graphics card of its own to drain battery...tempting.

And where exactly are you seeing this?
According to the official manual, this indeed has a backlit keyboard: https://www.acer.com/us-en/suppor...02/details

Thanks for sharing the link! Unfortunately I didn't see anything about quantity of m.2 slots. Any idea how many this actually has?

According to this review on notebookcheck [notebookcheck.net], it only has one slot for SSD.

Target is selling same model and they had it listed as no backlit keyboard. But I'll trust the official manual over them. Thanks.

Honest question here. Why does everyone seem to need a backlit keyboard? Deal breaker for many. The j and f keys always have a nub on them so even in the dark you should be able to place your hands correctly. Are those needing backlit keyboards hunt and peck typers?

i couldn't quite place my finger on why that other recent dell deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/17606136) seemed so bad, but this puts it into better perspective for pricing and specs Smilie

Is the swift edge the same but ryzen cpu? Too bad that one isn't as discounted. But I'm tempted to grab this. Looks like it's almost OOS

It still shows more than 10 available, so no it's not.

That may have something to do with it. But it's also nice to see the keyboard and use functions of it beyond an expansive typing effort.I may just want to hit a few single keys. Or may not have both hands available.

Also, while not a traditional typer, I don't "hunt", " I "peck" in the same way I do on my phone, but I have the general sense of where letters are in relation to each other and can flow in quick succession.
