If you don't need the high end graphics card, you can change it to uhd graphics to be 200$ cheaper

I was able to get a 32 GB a little while ago. Not at this price but they had an option before. No 64 GB option though. Decent laptop, but it runs HOT. This is a good price. I believe I paid over $1400 after warranty (better ram, but that is about it.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Only concern, I believe, is the i7 processor. It's a little old.

For my son, who also starts engineering this fall, I'm considering a newer model of this with Ultra 7. It's just $1199 with Win11 Pro. However, I'm debating if I want their protection plan with accidental damage.

So, in comparison…for someone looking for a sub 1000 machine with an rtx 4060…this is better than looking for a Victus or a Tuf or a Nitro or Loq, right? In terms of quality build?
