As far as SpaghettiOs and this deal, it's a fantastic price. IMO, they haven't changed at all over the years. I've never met a kid that doesn't like SpagettiOs. If you enjoyed them as a kid but don't now, it's more likely your palate changed, the O's are the same.

Fortunately, they issued a refund....but what a terrible waste of food (when there are people starving)!!

But, I wonder if that has something to do with location and how far away the closest Amazon hub is?
Because, I've ordered many cans from Amazon throughout the years, and never had a single dent in any of them. I'm in a large metro area and there are multiple large Amazon hubs and warehouses here.

Some controversial ingredients include:
1. High fructose corn syrup: Banned in the UK and parts of Europe due to concerns about obesity and metabolic disorders.
2. Mechanically separated chicken: Banned in the EU due to concerns about food safety and quality.
3. BPA (potentially in can lining): Banned in the EU for use in baby bottles due to potential health risks[2].
The product contains some beneficial ingredients like tomatoes (source of lycopene) and protein from the meatballs. However, it's high in sodium (600mg per serving) and contains added sugars[4].
From a health perspective, this product is not considered particularly nutritious. It's a highly processed food with several concerning ingredients[2]. While it does provide some protein (11g per serving) and vegetables (1/2 cup per serving), it also contains high amounts of sodium and added sugars[1][4].
The product is convenient and shelf-stable, making it popular for quick meals. However, its nutritional profile and ingredient list suggest it should be consumed in moderation, if at all. Healthier alternatives would include homemade pasta dishes with whole grain pasta, lean meats, and fresh vegetables.
Overall, SpaghettiOs with Meatballs is more of a convenience food than a health food, and regular consumption may contribute to various health issues related to high sodium and sugar intake[2][4].
