Just fyi this black version is 4:3 aspect ratio, wider angle and the white one which is also on sale is 3:4, head to toe viewing angle. The white one will view packages on the ground better.

I can't speak to the wired version, but the wifi version that I've had for over a year now and it works great. The only weird thing is that you can't use your existing mechanical doorbell chime, and have to plug in their supplied wireless ringer to an outlet. The wifi version works with rtsp so you can view/record using blue iris. It's nice not to have to pay a monthly fee and no batteries to change out.

Anyone compare this with eufy?
Eufy been ok but now after a year its constantly needing resetting, the etch support are are annoying idiots, and the web portal to view on browser needs a refresh every 5 minutes minimum, and the aspect ratio is fat.... and it takes a little too long to open the app and open the camera live view... sometimes he person is gone by the time it loads up... terrible.

Curious if other ran into the same issue I did of the door bell not working at times?

As in you press the button and no chime? It was intermittent. Meanwhile, the door bell was only 7 feet away and I have glass around my front door and vinyl siding so its not like it needed to transmit through brick.

Detection has lots of false positives but it is a good deal and a good camera. I use one with frigate and one with a reolink nvr.

I can a bit, since I just replaced my Nest with this because of the 33% price increase with Nest.

The picture quality takes a bit of fiddling with the settings to get it close to what Nest provides out of the box, but it is still a great image.

Combined with Blue Iris and Home Assistant, I can still get an alert with an image on my phone when someone gets close to the doorbell, which is the capability I wanted most out of a doorbell.

I have local footage, no monthly/yearly bill, and it is POE, which means it isn't susceptible to power outages (as long as my UPS stays alive Big Grin) or wifi blocking.

Overall, this cost me the same as what I would have paid for another year if I stayed with Nest, and I am very happy with it.

Eufy connection has been solid for me. I have the wired doorbell and it did get the weird pink image. It's a known issue and when I contacted them they refused to do anything since the unit I bought was refurbished from their Amazon store. I went outside and just slapped the shit out of it and it fixed the pink image. Apparently it's some kind of night sensor that gets stuck.
