MSRP was $25 for the Mini and $34 for the blanket, I think, so this is a pretty slick deal for a higher-end product. Generic ones have flooded the market, but for the price of a $10 generic, you get a Matador (well, $20 after $5 shipping and $5 handling, depending on your location).

I was going to suggest perhaps this is a price mistake, but maybe it's a fire sale, seeing as how these are all the old colors, and Matador just released a bunch of new colors for a lower price ($20 for the Mini and $30 for the blanket)

I keep a blanket in my day bag for the family, and a mini blanket in my sling for myself. It's come in handy dozens of times when we found ourselves wanting to sit on sandy beaches or moist grassy fields.

My only advice would be to try opening it first so you can practice folding it up, as it's a tight fit. The newer ones come with folding guidelines that are more pronounced.

Also, set expectations on the dimensions:

The blanket for 2-4 seats:
one comfortably with legs stretched out
two a bit tight with sitting cross-legged
three to four ... maybe if everyone is sitting on the edge of the blanket.

The Mini blanket barely fits one cross-legged, and two.. maybe if both are sitting on the edge of the blanket.

Nice find, OP! I bought 2 blankets and 2 mini blanket, and it came out to $45 after taxes, which is close to the price I paid for 1 blanket in the past ($34 + shipping + tax).

The 11% rebate is mail in... And for store credit.

Just worth noting. Still a good deal.

Never used one of these before, but I hate sitting in wet grass. I'll give it a shot based on the Slickdeals effect. Thanks OP!

Amazing price. I got my mini for $20 and regular for $22 not too long ago.

I'm about 5' 6" and the mini is just almost long enough to sit up with my legs stretched out. If I bend my legs, then I can stay completely on the blanket. Sitting cross-legged, you can fit two though there's not a ton of space.

I haven't used the regular yet, but it's also just barely long enough for me to lie down. If I bend my legs or go on the diagonal, I would just barely fit. Otherwise this can fit two very comfortably. The regular also comes with built in mini stakes at the corners which is nice. I wish the mini blanket had that.

Surprised this went FP. Was hoping these would have hung in a bit longer without selling for another price drop.

Yeah mine came last night and the refolding was the first thing I tried. This model has stitching lines to determine fold points, and I appreciate how you just sorta pull the outer cover around to put it back in the bag. Took a try or two, but once you get it you get it.

great price OP
I can't see a reason to. The bigger one has stakes built in and is, well, bigger. I thought maybe it would be bigger when folded but this thing is NOT big — unless I'm an ultralight backpacker I don't see how the weight/size difference is worth it.

I got 2 regular and one mini, just to try it out.
