The time quoted for speakers is usually at a fairly moderate volume. For instance, someone listening to it as background music in their office would probably get somewhere near that. However, rocking out with loud music drastically changes the play time. Someone expecting to blast if for 6 hours could easily end up disappointed, as the play time may be just a fraction of that at high volume. And the type of music can be a big factor as well … anything with lots of bass will suck up power a lot faster than things with more high notes or vocals. The lights probably don't affect the play time all that much since the LED lights they use these days take very little power relative to the speaker function.

Exactly. They pair and sync up nicely through the app for stereo. You can also do it through the pairing button located on the speaker.

This speaker works perfectly for karaoke. The only caveat is that you cannot pair 2 with quick sync. You will have to use the 3.5mm jack to link to the next speaker. I originally purchased a pair thinking I can easily setup a karaoke setup with stereo sound, but there was a lag in the bluetooth to the next speaker. So if you use only 1 speaker, you can use the input microphone then bluetooth the speaker to a tv and then use your cell phone or table to play youtube directly to the TV. Hopefully that made sense.
