This was very nostalgic to play through. And trophy support was nice. I loved every moment of it. It's a shame we never got to see Chrono Break. One can dream.

I... wouldn't go that far. Chrono Trigger, yes, one of the best ever made, but Chrono Cross wasn't bad. It just wasn't what some people wanted, and they are still hurt about it all these years later.

But the music was absolutely incredible in both games.

Yep. Mitsuda is a great composer. PS1 squaresoft was peak jrpg. Can't believe they had mitsuda and uematsu back then. Amazing game.

What a horrible take. This is widely considered one of the best RPGs ever made. No one should listen to you.

Chrono Cross ends up in every top 100 RPGs of all time list. Not being as good as Chrono Trigger doesn't make it not one of the best.

Man, I can't stress enough how alone you are in that opinion. Though some would argue that this is inferior to Chrono Trigger, for whatever reason, it's one of the greats from the golden age of Squaresoft. This edition also includes the English version of Radical Dreamers, a text based game written shortly after Chrono Trigger. I bought this edition at full price on release date, and for $10, it's highly recommended.

This guy is drunk or something, I couldn't disagree more strongly, battle system surpasses CT in many ways and the music is very much memorable, in fact the opening theme Time's Scar is perhaps the greatest in video game history.

This game has steam rating of 62% mixed reviews. Perhaps it's nostalgia to those who played it.
I play games with 85% or higher rating, I will pass on this one.
4.8 Stars on Google Reviews and 4.7 Stars on Amazon. I will give this game a try.

The bad reviews are mainly due to the frame rate and lack of additional features upon release. For $10 it's not bad but I'd almost rather play the emulated PS1 version. It's a shame this "remaster" wasn't done well.

Just purchased and been playing a day or so. This is probably square's lowest effort cash grab yet. I will say the redone polygonal characters do look much better but the low-res static background art seems unchanged and the many frustrating maze like areas are no easier given how difficult it is to determine depth of an area and whether something is a path, platform or just decor. They also did nothing apparent to remaster or increase the quality of the fmv sequences. I'm unimpressed, but its still a great game and great soundtrack for $10. Worth a play. $5 would be more appropriate in my opinion
