Do not buy this monitor...I have the exact same one and it started flickering on and off after 4-5 months. Called support and they don't care about you. Put you on hold for 2 hours, tell you its your PC and not the monitor (would also try to blame the power cord, power socket, DP cable, HDMI cable - literally everything). Will lie to you and say they don't have the option to call the manager and eventually they do. So at the moment, I have a $700 monitor that I really don't have a warranty for. There's a reason they are discounting this a lot. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. It's sad, I have owned Alienware/Dell products for a while but after what I have just gone through - I will never buy another alienware/dell branded product. If someone from Dell can reach out to me I would be glad to file my formal complaint.

Edit: Yes, literally changed everything. Even reformatted PC. Used my laptop, still the same effect. Plugged in a different monitor, 0 issues (ironically a Dell monitor).

My $250 Staples 34" LG made my eyes very tired and I don't know why. Anyone know if this monitor has any tech that eyes might be sensitive to?
I have sensitive eyes too—Astigmatism, cataract and chronic dry eyes. Been using it for 2 years and love it. Because of the curved monitor, you see screen at any angle. The nightlight feature from windows helps when it's dark. Even more wonderful when you get the flexible mounts so you can adjust it accordingly to make it more comfortable

Sounds like PWM on brightness. It's fast-flickering to the point that you unconsciously perceive a darker image

You have to download custom resolution utility and change the freesync lower range up to 100 or more. Keep the high end at 165.
It's a freesync issue.

I've had mine for over a year now with no issues. I wasnt going to discredit your experience, but you're being too dramatic insinuating that buyers will have the same one

I have the DW version and we can now upgrade firmware as well. You just need an nvidia GPU, unfortunately https://www.dell.com/support/home...erid=k0phf

This has also not been my experience with Dell. I've purchased several of these monitors and one started turning itself off as well. Dell replaced it immediately

Let me know if it works for you or you need some more help navigating through the app. It's kind of daunting if you haven't tinkered.

When did you deal with Dell. I too was fond of their products but my experience was so poor that it really turned me off

Have you updated the firmware? Ver. M3B107 is the latest available. I recall a few firmware updates having this issue as a point in the firmware notes. I have this monitor and the only issue i had with it was the colors were off but it was my fault as I had the wrong color profile activated haha. Dell was going to send me a new one after about 30 minutes of troubleshooting though. While they're support is thorough i would say, they usually take care of it in the end. Definitely try and reach out again either through chat. They seem to be easier to deal with in my experience. The chat agent might end up just calling you like me. Hope it works out.

I wish it had G sync.
I have a few Oled monitors. They all flicker in dark/gray area of the screen when playing games. I had to turn the g sync off to stop that from happening. It's a very common issue with Oled monitors.

These are cool as long as you keep direct light off of them. If you alllow direct light on them it washes out the contrast and that can be a real issue. I sold mine when it was happening to me and rtings found it was common with QD-OLED panels.

This was in February. I had owned it over 3 months already when my issue that I caused happened. Double check the firmware on the monitor and make sure it's 107. If it is try flashing it again. And if none of those work initiate a chat with them. i think they're closed on the weekends but it should have 3 years warranty from the date of purchase.
