Do not buy this monitor...I have the exact same one and it started flickering on and off after 4-5 months. Called support and they don't care about you. Put you on hold for 2 hours, tell you its your PC and not the monitor (would also try to blame the power cord, power socket, DP cable, HDMI cable - literally everything). Will lie to you and say they don't have the option to call the manager and eventually they do. So at the moment, I have a $700 monitor that I really don't have a warranty for. There's a reason they are discounting this a lot. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. It's sad, I have owned Alienware/Dell products for a while but after what I have just gone through - I will never buy another alienware/dell branded product. If someone from Dell can reach out to me I would be glad to file my formal complaint.

Edit: Yes, literally changed everything. Even reformatted PC. Used my laptop, still the same effect. Plugged in a different monitor, 0 issues (ironically a Dell monitor).

I will say though that I'm tempted to return it and go with the 32in 4k 240 hertz monitor instead. Ultrawide is nice but reading around it seems the benefits of the newer panel especially when it comes to text clarity are pretty big. Also this monitor does have a little bit of coil whine which seems to be an issue with this particular model.
Was tempted for that one but.... I dunno. Ultrawides are just kinda awesome. I love all that real-estate on screen

I got the dell 32in 24k 240hz after being on a 21:9 34" for a few years. Immediately regetted going back to 16:9 and put it back in the box same day. It looks good but just not worth the loss in aspect ratio.

dang you haha. I'm conflicted. I might just wait and see what if the 32in 4k model drops under 1k for prime day

Tbh, those are the first things I'd look into myself… they're the easiest and cheapest to check. Swap those things out, make sure the hdmi/dp cables are rated correctly and decent quality, and then if it's still a problem, you can take what you've done to troubleshoot to Dell, and I expect they won't give you any problems…

FWIW, I had a monitor flicker issue, and the cable was the problem.
I also solved a monitor problem with a cable swap. The audio stuttered randomly.
No issues with this monitor though.

I have the g-sync 175hz model of this monitor, and Dell overnighted me a replacement unit when I had a dead pixel and gave me 30 days to return the old one. Not discounting your experience, but I've found their support excellent.

I had opposite experience with Dell, a few years ago I had the 32" 165 hz curved monitor that didn't work at 120hz with my series x. I called and complained and they sent me a new one that worked fiawsllesly with Xbox. I currently own two g3223q and have zero issues. I think all you need to do is tell support you want to exchange your monitor since it doesn't work.

Sorry for your troubles
As an additional check, you could stick in a streamer (Apple tv, roku, firestick etc) and see if issue still exists

May be that convinces Dell

The new customer 10% discount doesn't work on monitors sadly "is a valid code, but isn't applicable to any items in your cart." The Alienware Arena offer works though for 10% and if you have the AMEX deal, maybe also cash back other places too. The AW3225QF is the newer model, true 3840x2160 4K, QD-OLED and 240hz refresh - at a higher price naturally. Been wanting one for a while now myself.

The AW3423DWF is certainly a popular monitor, but i don't want to drop resolution (edit - as I use my main PC for both work and gaming)
Thank you

The accessories discount isn't working for me. What am I missing? Added an Alienware mouse and a headset to try that.
Did you get the new Dell customer coupon or the Alienware Arena coupon (from a separate thread which you can search)? I used the Alienware Arena one and it worked with just the monitor in the cart

I have the version w/ the g-sync module, the screen itself is amazing. I'm glad to see the prices for these HDR capable monitors coming down.
What's the real world difference between this and the non g-sync module version (AMD)? Anyone know? Not sure what difference the module makes.
