Overkill, probably.
But if you want to run multiple monitors and multitask while rendering, this should do it without hiccups.

Depends on how much you can save by buying the CPU and the GPU used. That CPU mostly goes around 280 used, GPU a little less than 200, so it's pretty difficult.

You'd have a really hard time doing so, but if you got the parts on an ultra sale most likely.

Is this a good entry level gaming desktop? Would it be able to play something like Elden ring on like medium-high don't really care about anything past 30 fps due to being mostly a console gamer and not knowing much better.

I tried to make a comparable AMD build based on your build. How did I do?

That's not a bad build but it depends on what your use case is. That i7 is still a better CPU, but if you're looking to just make a gaming PC then the 5800X is more than good enough. If anything you could probably get away with using a 5600 or a 5600X as well, as the bottleneck would be the 6700XT. But if you have some kind of CPU specific use case then you'll have to think otherwise.

You can look at some of the builds here for inspiration according to your budget https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc..._350_8000/

If you have a costco near you you can check for the MSI Aegis R on clearance for same price. Same processor but has 4060ti 16gb, 32gb ddr5 ram, and extra 2tb hdd plus wifi 6e and bluetooth on motherboard. https://costco97.com/msi-aegis-ga...60ti-16gb/
