The LSX II's (NOT LT, light version) are $839 legitimate KEF refurb

For those looking now.
If you can wait
I have seen them(LSX II's) as low as $699 refurb at the above store. Wait for sales then the refurb prices drop way down.
The KEF refurb LS50 II's are at $1599 for now buyers and I have seen them even lower for waiters.

The differences between the LT and the regular LSX II's leave some advantages in hand for each pair but generally for some buyers the LSX II's are worth the $40 extra vs these LT's for the wireless link and AUX input. For others not worth it at all, definitely not worth the retail price increase. Not sure if the LT is Roon ready.
These are small speakers for small spaces or close-in listening distances. Will not present a rock concert at 12 feet away nor have much if any bass in larger spaces but will likely surprise most people with reasonable expectations.
From Accessories 4 Less'? Really? I think you just got an unlucky one. I have purchased 10 or 12 things over the years and everything was absolutely mint condition. Well I guess one Yamaha receiver had some small signs of use. Hmmm, well that is indeed something to consider.
BestBuy is hit or miss on the opened box. I have had some bad experiences with them over-rating items and then trying to explain it away despite the clear definitions they present online. I have also had them give mint condition items that are rated 'fair' so I think BestBuy open box is only for those who can handle the occasional let down & also reap the occasional bonus. Man some of their open box prices are low when they want to move items though so I always try them.
