USB tester is so weird. Just plug a USB device in. if it works, it works. It says it tests 4 things, "dead port, ok port, reversed polarity, and AC voltage present." - I guess if you're building your own gadgets and DIY things that use USB, that could be useful, but for 99% of people, you're buying a pre-packaged brick that's going to be pre-wired, so no "last owner wired this wrong" scenarios to run into.

A battery tester is nice to have, but you can get an analog one like this for a couple bucks pretty commonly. The other 2 are pretty standard tools, but good to have. I do prefer to use a real brand's AC voltage tester, but even the cheap China brand ones seem to work.

I also see a 15% off clipable coupon on the product page, bringing the set down to $13.60.

I got this a year ago, and nice to have a cheap set like this that works. I reach constantly for the battery tester, it being analog is great quick and easy read outs. Non contact voltage tester is also nice to have when the Klein one is playing hide and seek. Same goes for GFI tester, they all are basic and work as intended. The USB tester is, might come in useful one day? I also paid $2 more for this set.

This brand is junk. When it works. It barely works. The contact detector goes off for anything. Spend a few dollars more for something better.

Yeah. I was thinking maybe it'd be useful if you had a job where you had to test USB ports and periferals often. Like processing returned/ open item tech. Then again, you could just use an actual USB drive that has a light built into it and it'd serve additional use.

I also see the 15% off coupon.

Seems like if it was $6 it would be a good buy
