Perfect timing. Starting a new job and being given a Dell Precision. Was waffling over which 3rd party docking station to get because these ones were too expensive.

It's a good dock - though I wish it had two HDMI ports. Also it would be nice if this was the TB4 version of the dock. Overall I think it could be a bit cheaper at full price. No SD card slot - newer hubs have 2.5G ethernet = etc...

Any reason why this is better than say a 35 dollar Anker docking station if i dont have a dell laptop?

These usually go for ~$60 on eBay, used, but often still under warranty from Dell.
