As a fat person, I agree with this. The tailored fit is regular fit. The classic fit is frumpy potato sack fit. The slim fit is the normal fit.

Disagree. Slim is for people with small chests and no shoulders. If you have an athletic build, tailored is the way to go because it won't cramp your shoulders and chest, but you still don't get a baggy lower back.

It's all relative though.

Just looking at the fusing on the cuffs of these shirts, not giving me confidence that the fusing on the collar is going to last more than a few washes...

Yes this. I'm a fatter powerlifter build. Tailored giver shoulder and back room. I'm not gonna rip the shirt reaching for things.
