MAP pricing is the minimum pricing set by manufacturer for mass availability. Regardless of how much an instrument was bought for the MAP dictates what it can be listed lowest at. ProAudioStar and many other vendors get around that by listing it used. The only brand that ProAudioStar will not sell is Gibson and that is because Gibson will not sell to them.
In this case GC is marking the price of this guitar at way below MAP pricing because they are NOT advertising this sale, nor is it showing up online except in forums like this.
For the folks that want to understand why this is In-Store only.

It's been a long time since Gibsons were this price new.
Glad to see the guitar prices finally dropping back down.
Check it out at your local and see if they have any. Price match at Sweetwater might be another option.
Anyways get to the GC of your choice and ask for the blonde or the gold version and roll the dice
Check the Inventory before you go

It is a fantatstic guitar for that price. Build quality is spot on, and the thin body is nice for me because I am an SG player, not big on LPs.
I think they should be $1299 new, or $999 if this were pre-pandemic pricing, but at $893 it's still a great guitar for the money. Well above Epiphone quality, and solid for a Gibson 'faded' style guitars.
